seriuose pain from rib injury due to small tractor roll over

	I had a 400lb plow tractor roll over on top of me with the majority of the impact on my ribs.This was four days ago and at the time was very painful.The pain has subsided for the most part except for deep breaths and coughing.Today I sneezed and was in agony,also hearing a few pops on the right side of my ribs at the same time.I may also note that I am not bleeding from any orifice.What should I do besides rapping my ribs,taking it easy ,and or going to the E.R.

The pain in the chest while breathing and coughing raises the suspicion of rib fracture, actually multiple rib fracture as the tractor rolled right over you. The first thing to do would be to immobilize the chest with a wrap bandage and getting an X ray done to gauge the extent of injury. Meanwhile you can take OTC pain killers and apply cold and warm compresses alternately to the injured part. Please get an X ray done immediately. Keep us posted!
