Contraceptive pill

	i am on the ovranette pill, i have just finished the last packet. i have taken them for 21 days but missed one. i am now on my 7 day break. i am 4 days in to the 7 day break and i am still not on my period ... is this normal, i need advice?

	Answer by Dr Sanjivani Wanjari (doctor) on Wed 18, Aug 2010 12:29am: Hi , the contraceptive pills have to be taken very regularly . If you miss one pill , you are supposed to take two the next day. Pill if missed , specially around the time of ovulation can result in failure . please do a pregnancy test & check it out , before starting the next packet of pills.Consult a Doctor if you do not get periods even at the end of 7 day break.
