Hi,
Welcome to the forum. Your symptoms could be due to several possible causes - this could be a muscle pull,
urinary tract infection, a prostate infection etc. It is not likely to be cancer due to the fact that you do
not have the symptoms you know are associated with cancer. It is good to get an MRI done to rule out any other
intrabdominal cause. Till then drink plenty of water, avoid tea, coffee, alcohol and smoking. Maintain good
personal hygiene and wear loose comfortable clothes. Also, avoid sexual intercourse or any sexual activities
till you see your doctor. You should eat frequent light meals, preferably every 2 hours, eat 3 -4 helpings of
fresh fruits, avoid spicy processed foods. You could try some warm compresses, rest, oral pain relief
medications like paracetamol and local application of diclofenac gel and see if it helps with your symptoms.
Also, stress and anxiety could be major contributors to the symptoms you are having. So - it would be ebst to
avoid stress, anxiety and also sleep well. You should take the prescribed medications for your acid reflux -
proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole, pantoprazole and esmoprazole would be best. For the hemorrhoids - you
could try eating a high-fiber diet, using stool softener, taking pain killer and having a sitz bath for your
symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site, keep the area clean and well moisturized, wear lose, comfortable
clothes and maintain good personal hygiene. Talk to your doctor if you need surgery. Let us know if you need
any further information. Regards.
