Hello, Insulin values are expressed in microunits per ml. Your gynecologist said that your insulin levels are normal because your insulin level is in the normal range. A value of 15 microunits per ml is absolutely normal. You should stop worrying about your insulin value and you do not have insulin resistance. You should concentrate on the thyroid gland function which could be the possible cause of frequent and heavy periods.

Hi Dr.Anand,Thank you very much for answering my query and again thank you for clarifying my doubts. I got an other question for you..I mentioned that my thyroid is a bit off..these r the values of the thyroid test done TSH :4.140 H mIU/L ref range : [0.358-3.740] T3 Free* : 2.66 pg/mL ref range : [2.18-3.98] T4 Free* : 1.11 ng/dL ref range : [0.76-1.46] So according my endocrinologist my TSH is only a little bit out of the range she said i was in subclinical hypothyroidism.. 1.would this slight elevation in TSH cause that much abnormal heavy and frequent bleeding for 2 months or is there some other underlying condition?? 2.I am so much confused regarding all of this..
