I have shallow tingling in hands and now forearms and upper arms, this is day 2. Last week I had blotchy rash and swollen glands, diagnosed as "viral Infection" tested for rubella, negative, so undiagnosed. Could these be related? Any suggestions?

	What can be done to make these uncomfortable tingling sensations in my hands and arms go away? These symptoms have been here for two days now. Goose bumps on forearms and sweating midriff. Last week I was extremely tired on Monday, then Tuesday my eye sockets were sore whenever I moved my eyeballs left or right. Then Tuesday night my glands behind my ears where like marbles under my skin, without any fever. Then Wednesday I developed a "blotchy (no bumps or spots) rash all over my torso. By Thursday the rash was covering me and groin glands and underarm glands also swollen. I went to doctor, got told it was a "Viral Infection" (no kidding) drew bloods checking for rubella (got pregnant friend) results negative. By Saturday rash gone and thought I was on the mend. Then Tuesday these strange nerve ending sensations. Very irritating and out of my control as I don't know what to take or do to stop this. To best describe the way the tingles started, at the centre towards the base of my palm if I run my third finger there, it doesn't burn as such or tingle quite as intensely as pins and needles, if it makes sense, a more subtle feeling, maybe shallow tingling would describe it best. My arms are sensitive to touch under the fabric of my clothes. Please could you offer your opinion to me as I am loathe to return to this particular doctor in a hurry.

Parasthesia can occur due to several reasons such as vitamins deficiency, Reynaud’s phenomenon, viral infections esp. STD infections , multiple sclerosis etc. Your symptoms indicate more towards Viral infection as suggested by your doctor. It may not be rubella but something else. Get a through check up of yourself done, eat healthy vitamin rich diet.
