Hi,
Spotting here may be defined as bleeding which is mild and occurs occasionally after an actual menstrual
event.
There may be many causes of the bleeing, including stress, hormonal fluctuation, low thyroid level, obstetic
causes such as abortion, infections which are yet undiagnosed, IUD's , injuries, gynecological causes
like uterine disorders, malignant lesions etc..
They may have to be ruled out one by one based on your particulars and examination. This can happen only in
consultation with a doctor.
There may also be some relation to use of pain killers like aspirin which may exacerbate the bleeding.
There may be some questions which may need to be answered: Is bleeding worse with increased physical activity?
Are you experiencing an increase in stress? Do you have any other symptoms such as pelvic pain, increased
bruising, difficulty swallowing, pain or burning during urination? Is there blood in your bowel movements or
urine?
Further if there was a OB/GYN procedure undertaken, the doctor may aak you regarding it.
Hope this helped. Keep me posted on your health status and also let e know if you may need any more
information
