Implanon contraceptive implant query

	Good morning, I've had an Implanon contraceptive implant in for just under a year, and it appears that the metal rod has bent slightly so it no longer forms a straight line under my skin. I recently had spotting, but only for the second time since I've had the implant in. My question is regarding whether the apparent 'kink' in the implant will affect the contraceptive effectiveness? However there are no studies supporting the change in it’s efficacy with a bend. But it would be better to see a OB/GYN specialist for any change in shape or size to adjust or remove the implant to avoid untoward reactions. Best.
