Medications and pregnancy. Do certain medications dont allow the birth control to work properly?

is it likely for a person that's taking metformin and contraceptive pills to get pregnant? . Do the contraceptive pills work the same when you're taking metformin?Me

Hello Himilce, Metformin is often the drug of choice for women with polycystic ovarian disease who are anovulatory and infertile.Metformin causes ovulation and pregnancy.In presence of contraceptive pills the action of metformin remains the same where as the pills prevent pregnancy.It is safe to continue both the drugs.
