WHAT IS THE MEDICAL TERM FOR THICKENING OF THE UTERUS? i HAVE SEVERE PAIN IN THE ABDOMEN. i WAS PUT ON BIRTH CONTROL PILLS FOR THIS CONDITION.

Hello Dear, In endometriosis, the tissue that normally lines the inside of uterus the endometrium becomes implanted outside the uterus, most commonly on fallopian tubes, ovaries and causes thickening.It might cause painful periods,pelvic pain,exessisve bleeding,infertility. Pain medications and Birth control pills are given in the treatment as they help control the hormones responsible for the buildup of endometrial tissue each month.
