how will i know if i am pregnant while on the Mirena birhtcontrol.

	i have had the Mirena birth control in for about 15-16 mths. my question is how will i know if i am pregnant. i have not had a period for 13 mths. just in the last few days i have felt very naus., not any tireder than usual. my big concern is that if i am pregnant i have been taking perscription diet pills.

Whether this will affect your baby, assuming that you are pregnant depends on the composition of the medications. You can check with your doctor regarding this, if a pregnancy is confirmed. You could take a pregnancy test with a home-kit or visit a Gynecologist to check whether you are pregnant. An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a small object that is inserted through the cervix and placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. They work by changing the lining of the uterus and fallopian tubes affecting the movements of eggs and sperm and so that fertilization does not occur. IUDs are 99.2-99.9% effective as birth control.
