Hi there.
Cramps are a usual occurrence during pregnancy and there can be a lot of factors.
One is the inadequacy of the veins draining the muscles of the lower extremities which can result in retention
of lacting acid or other muscle wastes leading to cramps. The venous problem is brought about by the
expanding uterus, compressing the venous system.
If there are no other symptoms such as fever, then I believe this is of no cause of immediate concern. Make
sure you have adequate rest, and you can have your lower extremities massaged.
If the symptoms persist or you develop other symptoms, it is best that you inform your obstetrician about
this.
Regards and God bless.
