	i am pregnant and expecting on august 16, problem is i slept with two men in the same month and need to know the possability of father. i had my period nov 2, had sex with guy one everyother day from the 8-23 with no pull out, i had sex with guy 2 on the 28 once no pull out, i took a pregnancy test on the 30 and it was positive what are the chances guy two is the father? help!!!!

	Answer by Unregistered (doctor) on Tue 05, Aug 2008 11:59am: Hi, The menstrual cycle is from Day 1 of bleeding to Day 1 of the next time of bleeding. Although the average cycle is 28 days, it can vary from as short as 21 days or as long as 35 days. Ovulation occurs when a mature egg is released from the ovary, pushed down the fallopian tube, and is available to be fertilized. Ovulation can be calculated by starting with the day the last menstrual period (LMP) starts or by calculating 12-16 days from the next expected period. Most women ovulate anywhere between Day 11 - Day 21 of their cycle, counting from the first day of the LMP. This is what many refer to as the "fertile time" of a woman's cycle, because sexual intercourse during this time increases the chance of pregnancy. Since you started your period on the 2 of November and if you have had 28-30 day cycles, then the 11-21 day of the cycle corresponds with 12-22 of November. This would make partner no.1 the father of the baby in all probability. The egg lives for 12-24 hours after leaving the ovary and has to be fertilized within that period for pregnancy to occur. So this increases the possibility of partner no. 1 being the father.
