Hi, Saturday night, i noticed a blister-like red lump about 6mm in diamter. It was filled with white fluid which i could see at the top and was on the border of my right labia majora lip, at the very top- where i shave the most. It was one single bump, painful when touched. Sunday, the bump popped itself- i guess from my jeans rubbing against it and all of the white fluid was completely gone/popped. It is now monday, and the bump is nearly completely gone, and there is only a little red lump in its place that is almost entirely gone, and only getting smaller and smaller every minute. Was this most likely an infected hair follicle? or something i should worry about like an STD? also. i have been prescribed amoxicillin for a strep throat infection, which has caused a likely yeast infection which i havent been treating yet. I feel itchy and there is a cottage cheese like discharge. Could the symptoms be related? Or just a horrible series of events from strep.. to yeast infection.. to infected hair follicle?

Hi, You could be having candidal vaginitis. Symptoms include severe itching, burning, and soreness, irritation of the vagina and/or vulva, and a whitish or whitish-gray discharge, often with a curd-like appearance. In clinical settings, candidiasis is commonly treated with antimycotics—the antifungal drugs commonly used to treat candidiasis are topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole, and topical ketoconazole.
